Codrin Liviu Cuţitaru (b. 1968). Professor of English and American Literature at „Al. I. Cuza” University of Iaşi. Ph.D. adviser. Graduate (B.A./M.A.) of the Faculty of Letters from the University of Iași (English-Romanian, 1991). Ph.D. in English and American Literature (1996). Guest IIE Researcher at the University of Texas (USA, Austin, 1993). Fulbright Visiting Scholar at the University of Arizona (USA, Tucson, 1993-1994). Guest Professor of English and American Literature at the University of Freiburg (Germany, 1995 and 2000), at the University of Sheffield (UK, 2002), at the University of London (UK, 2009).

Task Force Representative of the University of Iaşi in the Coimbra Group Doctoral Programmes at the University of Padua (Italy, 2011) and the University of Gottingen (Germany, 2012). Appointed Consul General of Romania in Vancouver (Canada, 2007). Director of Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Letters, University of Iaşi (2009-2012). Dean of the Faculty of Letters, University of Iaşi (since 2012).

Fields of research/interest: American Romanticism, Victorian Literature, Critical Theory, Cultural Anthropology.
